Welcome! My name is Vishwa Mohan Kumar. I am a .NET Application Architect and currently work at TranDotCom Solutions. I am programming since 1994 and worked on variety of tools and technologies including dBase, FoxPro, C, C++, UNIX, Sybase, Ingres, SQL Server, Crystal Reports, Active Reports, Visual Basic, COM/DCOM and Classic ASP before embracing the Microsoft .NET technology.
Since 2001, I am continuously designing, developing and managing applications based on latest .NET technologies and SQL Server. I have received Master’s degree in Business Administration (Information Systems), Bachelor’s degrees in Electronics Science and Engineering, Professional Diploma and Certification in Computer Systems Management, Microsoft Solution Development and Project Management.

| I was born in Gaya, Bihar, India. This is an ancient city close to Bodh Gaya, the place where Buddha attained enlightenment. Later, I moved to New Delhi and lived there for several years. At present I am living in Mareitta, GA, USA. I am a vegetarian, non-smoker and teetotaler by choice. Yoga is close to my heart. I am practicing Yoga since 1984. Swami Vivekananda’s thoughts and teachings planted the seed of Yoga and Spirituality in my teen age. In Aug, 2003, I was
privileged to meet Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
and experienced that how a master can explain the complex knowledge in simple words.

The main purpose was to develop something small of my own, and allow me to play and get some first hand experience with developing and maintaining an end-to-end web application using a multi-tier architecture while exploring the great features of .NET and SQL Server 2008.I utilize this acquired knowledge to provide a better solution at work, my company and .Net community. My Blog mainly focuses on Microsoft Technologies, Yoga and Spirituality.

About Technology
Current Release
This web site runs on Windows Server 2008, .NET 3.5 with AJAX and IIS 7.0. Most of the content is pretty much completely held in a MS SQL Server 2008 database. The application is completely developed in Visual Studio 2008 using VB.NET and C#.NET. It is currently using Object Oriented Design with 3-Tier Architecture with industry standard several Design Patterns . Each Tier is divided into a separate assembly and the Business Layer Design implements the Service Façade which can be easily plugged into a Service Oriented Application.
Release History
04/11/2008 – Version 3.5 – Converted Business Layer and Data Access Layer Assembly in C#.NET. No functionality change.
12/12/2007 – Version 3.2 – Converted to .NET 3.5. No major functionality change was introduced. Disabled the functionality for registering new users for now.
05/05/2007 – Version 3.1 – Implemented AJAX in blogging module. No major change in functionality was introduced.
01/01/2007 – Version 3.0 – Each layer of application was separated in a seperate assembly. The database Server was upgraded to SQL Server 2005 and a custom blogging module was added.
10/01/2006 – Version 2.0 – Modified the Personal Web Site look and feel with dynamic theme and RSS feed for Links. Added editable about page and liked my first blog from blogger through an IFRAME.
09/15/2006 – Version 1.0 – First version of Personal Web Site based on Starter Kit using Visual Studio 2005 and VB.NET.
